About Us

Resource Productions is a production company with a social conscience. Our aim is to affect cultural change through high quality art and film.

Using cutting edge technologies we aim to give those least represented a platform, to affect cultural fabric and improve diversity in mainstream media, giving the voiceless a voice.

Our mission is to work with leading industry professionals from writers, performers, editors and animators to create profound, thought provoking content to embolden and inspire the next generation. We work with and train a vast and diverse range of people from ethnic, religious, geographic and socio-economic backgrounds. Resulting in a natural flow of the range of people who are then able to make high quality content and by default enter the creative industries.

Our spotlight is focused on those living outside of London (London has 13% of the UK’s population but 55% of the UK’s film companies) Women (only 14% of TV drama is directed by women) as well as Black, Asian and other Minority ethnic groups (only 1.5% of TV is made by BAME directors). We also strive to help those with access needs, learning difficulties and disabilities, to those returning to work after a career break.

We accomplish this by running weekly free workshops in filmmaking, regional and national outreach, whereby we identify talent to develop and act as an agent for, one to one support, accredited courses, weekend retreats, bespoke training workshops, training recruitment and commissioning programmes. Working with leading media production companies ranging from Channel 4, BBC, BAFTA, BFI and Creative England to help facilitate this.

In addition to developing talent, we also independently co-develop script, shoot and edit engaging, moving and cost-effective drama, documentary and animation. Examples included producing First Acts for Channel 4’s Random Acts.

In order to allow for the above creative explorations we also secure commercial commissions for branded content.  Recent examples including Buckinghamshire County Council, Uxbridge College and Jubilee Riverside Centre.

"It is companies like yourself that inspire the new generation" Mrs R Sahota, Head of Sixth Form at Brigidine School
